uPVC office partitions in Hyderabad: cost, designs & why clinics and schools are switching

Full-height uPVC framed glass office partition with white profiles enclosing a meeting room in a Hyderabad office — Mason uPVC

Walk into most offices in Hyderabad and you'll find the same thing dividing the space: aluminium sections rattling in their tracks, or gypsum walls that were scuffed within a year and repainted twice since. Partitions are the hardest-working surfaces in a commercial space — touched, bumped, leaned on, and listened through every single day — yet they're usually the last thing anyone specifies carefully.

At Mason, we've spent seven years building uPVC windows and doors for homes across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Increasingly, the same offices, clinics, and schools that trusted us for windows are asking us a different question: can you partition our space too?

Yes. And in many cases, uPVC is the better answer than what the fit-out contractor quoted you. Here's the honest breakdown.

What is a uPVC office partition?

A uPVC partition uses the same multi-chambered, steel-reinforced uPVC profiles we use in our windows — fabricated as full-height or partial-height frames, fitted with glass, solid panels, or a mix of both. Because the profiles are fusion-welded and gasket-sealed, the result is a partition that behaves less like a temporary divider and more like a permanent, quiet wall — without the dust, time, or commitment of civil work.

The four partition types we fabricate

1. Full-height glazed partitions. Floor-to-ceiling frames with clear or frosted toughened glass. The default choice for cabins, meeting rooms, and director offices — daylight travels through the whole floor plate, but conversations don't.

2. Half-glazed (panel + glass) partitions. Solid uPVC panel up to desk or shoulder height, glass above. Ideal for clinics and consulting rooms where you want privacy at seated level and light above it.

3. Solid panel partitions. Fully opaque, washable uPVC panels. The workhorse for store rooms, server corners, pantry separations, and school staff areas.

4. Sliding partitions. Large openings that need to open up — training halls that become two classrooms, or a clinic waiting area that expands on busy days. Built on the same smooth track systems as our sliding uPVC doors.

What do uPVC office partitions cost in Hyderabad?

We publish our prices. We always have. Final cost depends on profile grade, glass type, and hardware — but here is where our partition pricing starts, factory-direct from our Patancheruvu workshop:

Factory-direct pricing · uPVC office partitions
Partition typeStarting priceBest for
Solid panel partition₹380 / sq.ftStore rooms, pantries, back offices
Half-glazed partition₹420 / sq.ftClinics, consulting rooms, reception areas
Full-height glazed₹460 / sq.ftCabins, meeting rooms, co-working
Sliding partition₹520 / sq.ftTraining halls, expandable spaces

*Starting prices shown. Final price depends on profile brand, glass specification (clear, frosted, toughened, laminated or DGU) and hardware grade.

For a quick mental model: a typical 10ft × 9ft cabin front with a door comes to roughly 90 sq.ft — so a fully glazed cabin enclosure starts around ₹41,000 installed, not the lakh-plus figure many fit-out quotes imply.

uPVC vs aluminium vs gypsum: the comparison nobody gives you straight

Where aluminium still makes sense, we'll tell you honestly — for everything else, uPVC quietly wins on sound, upkeep and hygiene.

Sound. This is where uPVC quietly wins. Multi-chambered profiles with gasket sealing cut conversation bleed dramatically compared to single-chamber aluminium sections. For a doctor's consulting room or an HR cabin, that's not a luxury — it's the entire point of the partition. Add laminated glass and even a busy open floor fades to a murmur.

Maintenance. Gypsum needs repainting and patches every scuff. Aluminium powder coating chips and the gaskets harden. uPVC panels wipe clean with a wet cloth and never need painting — the same 30–40 year, zero-maintenance logic that applies to our windows applies here.

Hygiene. For clinics, diagnostic centres, and food businesses, uPVC's non-porous, washable surface matters. Gypsum absorbs; uPVC doesn't.

Speed and mess. A uPVC partition is measured, fabricated in our workshop, and installed in days — no wet work, no curing time, minimal dust. Your office doesn't shut down for the fit-out.

Cost. Premium aluminium glazed partitions in Hyderabad typically quote higher per sq.ft than equivalent uPVC; gypsum is cheaper upfront but loses on every maintenance cycle and offers no glazing, no light, and poor sound isolation.

Where aluminium still makes sense: very large unsupported spans and certain fire-rated specifications. We'll tell you honestly when your project is one of those cases.

Who is switching, and why

Clinics and diagnostic centres — consulting-room privacy, washable surfaces, and frosted-glass options that keep rooms bright without exposing patients.

Schools and coaching institutes — durable panels that survive students, sound separation between classrooms, and safety-toughened glass throughout.

Offices and co-working spaces — daylight-preserving glazed cabins at a per-sq.ft rate that makes sense for 2,000 sq.ft as much as for 20,000.

Showrooms and godowns — fast, clean separation of customer and storage areas without civil approvals or downtime.

Office partitions, answered

What is the cost of uPVC office partitions in Hyderabad?

Mason uPVC partitions start from ₹380/sq.ft for solid panels, ₹420/sq.ft for half-glazed, ₹460/sq.ft for full-height glazed, and ₹520/sq.ft for sliding partitions — factory-direct, including installation. Final pricing depends on glass type and hardware grade.

Are uPVC partitions better than aluminium partitions?

For sound insulation, maintenance, and hygiene, yes. uPVC's multi-chambered, gasket-sealed profiles block conversation noise far better than standard aluminium sections, and the panels never need repainting. Aluminium retains an edge only for very large unsupported spans and specific fire-rated requirements.

Can uPVC partitions be removed or relocated later?

Yes. uPVC partitions are fixed mechanically, not with civil work, so they can be dismantled and relocated with minimal damage — useful for rented offices and growing businesses.

Do office partitions need any building permission in Hyderabad?

Non-structural internal partitions generally don't require municipal sanction, though commercial tenants should confirm with their building management or lease terms. Our team can advise during the site visit.

How long does installation take?

Most office partition projects are measured, fabricated, and installed within 7–10 days of order confirmation, with on-site installation usually completed in 1–2 days without disrupting your working office.
