"I chose Mason for my balcony French doors — 100% satisfied. They never compromised on quality. Enjoying the view every day."
The most elegant uPVC fenestration we make. Side-hinged leaves swing fully open for 100% ventilation — and seal airtight when closed. Available as casement windows or full-height French doors.
Casement is the most engineered window shape in the Mason catalogue — six design decisions decide how it swings, seals, and stays put for the next thirty years.
Three-to-five air chambers inside the frame insulate thermally and reinforce the leaf — important because casement carries its own weight on a hinge edge.
Stainless steel hinges sized for the leaf weight. They hold the leaf in any partial-open position without sagging, even after years of daily use.
Continuous rubber seal on all four edges of the leaf. When the multi-point lock pulls in, the seal compresses uniformly — that's why casement is the tightest window type.
The handle drives four-to-six hooks into the frame at once — top, bottom, and centre. Pulls the gasket tight and adds genuine forced-entry resistance.
A small profile at the bottom of the leaf channels rainwater outward over the sill instead of pooling. Essential during Vizag monsoons.
The upgrade. Two-position handle that lets the leaf either swing open like a door or tilt inward 10cm from the top for trickle ventilation.
Mason fabricates casement in four configurations — pick by how big the opening is, how you want it to ventilate, and whether you want premium European hardware.
One side-hinged leaf in a frame. Cleanest look. Up to 900mm wide, 1500mm tall. The default casement.
Two leaves meeting in the middle, both opening outward. The classic French-door look. Up to 1800mm wide.
Hinged at the top, opens outward from the bottom. Perfect for high windows and bathrooms — rain stays out even when open.
The premium upgrade. Two-position handle — swing fully open or tilt the top inward for secure trickle ventilation.
Casement carries the same glass options as our other windows — but because the seal is so tight, premium glass actually performs to its rated spec instead of being undermined by air gaps.
Maximum light. Default for bedrooms and living rooms on non-west facades.
Green, grey or bronze. Pairs especially well with casement because the seal stops heat the glass blocks.
Bathrooms and ground-floor street-facing rooms. Standard upgrade for top-hung bathroom windows.
4–5× stronger than annealed. Mandatory above the 4th floor and on full-height French doors.
Casement wins where you need an airtight seal, full ventilation when open, and the visual line of a single uninterrupted glass plane.
Tilt-turn especially — open fully for cross-ventilation, or tilt inward at night for secure trickle airflow.
Top-hung casement keeps rain out even when open. Frosted glass for privacy. Mandatory for high-humidity rooms.
Double-leaf full-height casement onto a balcony. The premium choice — opens the room completely to outside.
The 4-gasket seal cuts noise better than any other window type. The street outside disappears the moment you close it.
Casement seals better and ventilates more. Sliding is cheaper and needs no swing space. Both are excellent — this table will help you choose.
| Property | Casement | Sliding |
|---|---|---|
| Starting price | ₹450 / sq.ft | ₹350 / sq.ft |
| Maximum ventilation | 100% of opening | 50% (2-track) |
| Wind / rain seal | Best in class — 4 gaskets | Good — 2 gaskets |
| Noise reduction | Excellent | Good |
| Cleaning outer glass | Swing fully out | Slide sash inward |
| Wall space needed | Swing room indoors / outdoors | Zero — slides flat |
| Mosquito mesh | Separate net frame | Integrated (2.5-track) |
| Best for | Bedrooms, bathrooms, facades, French doors | Living rooms, balconies, kitchens |
Over three hundred and fifty casement and French-door projects across Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam — many of them in homes where the seal is the difference between a quiet bedroom and a noisy street.
Casement windows fail in three ways — sagging leaves, leaky seals, and locks that get stiff. Mason engineers around all three.
Every casement leaf is spec'd with hinges rated for its actual weight. A small leaf gets light-duty hinges; a French-door leaf gets heavy-duty. No undersized hardware that fails after year three.
Every casement leaf goes through a rigorous workshop check — swing smoothness, lock alignment, gasket compression, drip-rail clearance. Catches issues before they reach your wall.
If your opening is too wide for a single leaf, we'll tell you and propose a double — even if it's a smaller order. We'd rather not install something that will sag.

Common questions homeowners ask before ordering casement uPVC. If yours isn't here, ping us — we answer in under a day.
Mechanically they're identical — both are side-hinged uPVC frames that swing open. The terms differ by size and use: casement windows sit above sill level for ventilation; French doors run floor-to-ceiling and act as a doorway, typically for balconies and gardens.
For bedrooms — yes. The tilt position lets you ventilate at night without leaving the window unlocked. For other rooms it's a nice-to-have, not essential. Most clients pick tilt-turn for one or two bedrooms and standard casement for the rest.
Yes — casement is the most weather-tight window type we make. The four EPDM gaskets plus multi-point lock compress into a continuous seal. Coupled with the integrated drip rail, casement handles Vizag monsoons and Hyderabad dust storms better than sliding.
A single casement leaf is fabricated up to about 900mm wide and 1500mm tall. Wider openings use double-leaf or are paired with fixed glass panels. French doors typically run as twin leaves of 700–800mm each.
Standard casement swings outward, so no indoor swing space is needed. Tilt-turn can also swing inward — useful for upper floors where outward swing would interfere with awnings or facade detail.
