"Great experience with Mason uPVC. Transparent pricing, high-quality material, and excellent finishing. If you're looking for durable windows, this is the place to go."
Permanent glass panels where ventilation isn't needed. Same uPVC frame, same weather-tight seal — minus the hinges, rollers, and moving parts. The cheapest, calmest way to bring daylight into a space.
A fixed window strips out the hinges, rollers, and locks — leaving only the parts that keep weather out and light in. Five elements, every one of them sealed for life.
The same three-to-five chamber profile we use on operable windows — over-engineered for a sash that never has to move. Thermal insulation stays at its theoretical maximum.
The glass is bedded into a continuous rubber gasket and pressed in from both faces. No air gap, no service interval, no draught — for the life of the frame.
Even with no opening sash, rainwater that hits the glass needs somewhere to go. A drainage channel along the bottom of the frame routes water out through hidden weep holes.
Decorative mullions inserted between the panes — 6-over-6, 4-over-4, or bespoke layouts. The cottage look with modern uPVC performance.
Round, arched, trapezoidal, even full circles — CNC-cut at our Patancheru workshop. Toughened glass is standard on any non-rectangular shape.
Fixed windows are the most flexible product Mason fabricates — because there's no mechanism, the shape can follow the architecture.
The default. Single uninterrupted glass plane. Cleanest line, lowest cost, fastest to fabricate.
Round-top arch over a rectangular base. Standard for staircase elevations and porte-cochère openings.
Full circle or half-moon. Architectural feature window for elevations, gables, and feature walls.
Any base shape with decorative mullions dividing the glass into smaller panes. 6-over-6 or custom.
Because the frame is so minimal on a fixed window, the glass choice does almost all the visual and thermal work. Choose carefully.
Maximum light transmission. The right default for stairwells, ceiling-height elevations, and any room facing east or north.
Green, grey or bronze. Mandatory for large fixed panels facing west — cuts solar gain and protects furniture from UV fade.
Light through, view obscured. The standard for bathroom fixed lights and ground-floor street-side panels.
4–5× stronger than annealed. Mandatory above the 4th floor, on circular/arched shapes, and for full-height fixed panels.
Fixed wins anywhere ventilation isn't required and uninterrupted glass is. Common Indian-home applications below.
Tall, narrow openings up the side of a stair. Floods the staircase with daylight without compromising the elevation.
Decorative window in a facade that doesn't need to open — gables, double-height living rooms, feature walls.
Narrow fixed panels flanking a French door or main entrance. Brings light into a foyer without adding a door.
The strip of wall above a counter where you don't need a window to open. Fixed gives the maximum view at the lowest cost.
A fixed window costs one-third less than its operable cousin — no hinges, no rollers, no lock hardware. Use them anywhere you don't need to open the glass and the budget goes further.
A fixed window's job is to stay sealed. Mason builds them that way from the workshop bench.
Every Mason fixed pane is bedded into EPDM gasket on the inside and outside face. Most installers skip the outer bead — that's where leaks start in year three.
Our QC process includes a water test on every fixed frame: we pour water against the bottom of the closed pane and confirm it exits through the weep holes, not into the wall.
Arched, circular, and trapezoidal shapes are CNC-cut from our profile stock — not hand-sawn on site. Geometry stays true, joints close cleanly, the silicone bead is the thinnest you've seen.

Common questions about fixed uPVC. If yours isn't here, ping us — we answer in under a day.
No — they have the same multi-chambered uPVC frame, EPDM gasket and weather seal as our operable windows. The difference is no hinges or rollers — the sash is permanently sealed shut. This makes them the most thermally efficient and weather-tight option.
Choose fixed when ventilation isn't required — stairwells, double-height elevations, fixed sidelights flanking a French door, or above-counter kitchen windows. Fixed gives you the maximum glass area at the lowest price with the tightest seal.
Yes. Georgian bars are decorative mullions inserted between the panes to divide the glass into smaller rectangles — the look of a traditional cottage window with the performance of modern uPVC. Common configurations include 6-over-6, 4-over-4, and bespoke layouts.
Yes. Mason fabricates arched (round-top), semi-circular, full-circle and trapezoidal fixed windows. Custom shapes are CNC-cut at our Patancheru workshop and quoted on the project. Toughened glass is standard on any non-rectangular shape.
A single fixed pane is typically fabricated up to about 1500×2400mm. Beyond that, we split the opening with a uPVC transom (horizontal bar) or mullion (vertical bar) and treat it as a combination window — see our combination windows product.
