Windows, doors and the uPVC version of them

When you think of a window, what comes to mind? The software Bill Gates built? The wooden frames that have framed Indian homes since time immemorial? At Mason, we hold an entirely different meaning for the word. To us, a window is a piece of art — a sculpture waiting to be realised under the hands of our craftspeople.

How it begins: finding each other

Every project starts with a kind of hide and seek. Either we find the customer, or the customer finds us. From our side, we're looking for the person who won't reduce the whole conversation to the lowest possible price. From the customer's side, they're looking for the best value for their money. When those two searches meet in the middle, good things get built.

What most people don't see in a uPVC window

Most outer frames look identical the day they're installed. The real differences only emerge later. Here are three things worth understanding before you decide:

  • Profile durability goes beyond colour. A profile with the right concentration of Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) offers meaningfully better long-term strength and UV resistance. The surface holds its colour; just as importantly, the frame holds its strength.
  • Reinforcement shortcuts are invisible — until they aren't. One of the most common quality compromises is quietly skipping the steel reinforcement inside the frame sections. A frame without it holds up fine — until it doesn't, usually sooner than you'd expect.
  • Service quality is a product quality issue too. A poor installation undoes the best profile money can buy. A team that doesn't explain what they're fitting leaves you unsure of what you actually purchased.
A frame without proper reinforcement holds — until it doesn't. And by then it's inside your wall.

This is why we'd rather you be an educated buyer than an easy sale. Ask us anything — about profiles, glass thickness, what TiO₂ does, or exactly what goes inside the frame section. We're happy to explain all of it, because a homeowner who understands the product makes a better decision and stays happy for longer.

We know a thing or two about windows — and we hope you walk away better informed when making a purchase for the home where your whole world lives.

A window, after all, is the one part of the house you look through every single day. It deserves more than a glance at the bottom-line number on a quote.
