Quality is one of the aspects we explored in our earlier posts. In this article, we dive deeper into what quality actually means in the context of choosing a uPVC window — and why most homeowners in India don’t pay it enough attention until it’s too late.
In the fenestration industry, quality manifests primarily in two dimensions: the quality of the product itself, and the quality of the service that comes with it. Both matter enormously, but for different reasons.
Product Quality: The Profile Makes All the Difference
At Mason, we have always paid more attention than typical to product quality — primarily to set ourselves apart from the rest of the fabricators in the market. The Hyderabad market, like much of India, is price-sensitive. Our initial plan was to find customers who valued quality for its own sake.
For the windows we fabricate, quality primarily revolves around the outer frame, or profile. The profile market in India broadly divides into two segments:
- Premium segment — brands with German and Turkish heritage such as NCL Veka, Plastone, Kömmerling, and Prominance, backed by proper warranties and quality controls.
- Economy segment — a large field of options primarily sourced from Chinese markets, including Kinbon, Lesso, Conch, and various unbranded alternatives at aggressive price points.
At Mason, we are proud partners of Plastone, and we carry their two flagship variants — the P55 and T-Plus series.
Quality of Service: The Part Everyone Forgets
A courteous first conversation, a clear explanation of what you are getting, a professional measurement visit, and a timeline that is actually kept — these are not luxuries. They are what a good service experience looks like.
This is central to everything we do at Mason. We derive genuine joy in the process — from the first call to the final installation to the review our team eagerly checks afterward.
